The DIY Dolls started off this year by participating in the Hotrod Hoedown, an "extravaganza" in New Caney, TX (just north of Houston), put together by the Hellions CC. It was a our first year at this particular show and it was a blast! Much bigger than I thought it was going to be.
Live music included: Wayne "the Train" Hancock, Reno Divorce and some other bands. Houston's legendary DJ Big E was spinnin' some great tunes, as he always does! There was also an ongoing Roller Derby expo, a pin-up contest and some weird cage fighting thing going on (beer + testosterone = some primitive behavior!).
We are definitely going to do this show again next year!
